The International Transport and Logistics Association
(ITLA) is the professional body for those engaged in various
sectors of transport and logistics, including air, sea and land, for both
passengers and freight movement. The International Transport and Logistics
Association (ITLA) was formed as the Association of Transport and became
a Professional body in Hong Kong Chapter. The Association first set up the
Hong Kong Branch with HKIR as its representative office. ITLA (HK Chapter)
has authority to handle all Association matters independently.
The fields of transport and logistics
are complementary and highly interdependent and have a big overlap of activities
and competence. Thus the membership of ITLA broadly ranges from experienced
senior managers to junior staff in the industries of shipping, logistics,
airline, railway, road, public transport, government, educational institutes
and consultancy worldwide.
ITLA was established as a not-for-profit,
independent association dedicated to promoting excellence in the management
of logistics and transport. Globally, ITLA spots trends, conducts research,
provides training programs, and assists corporate and organizational logistics/transport
managers in developing strategies to manage logistics and transport resources.
